The environment and its impact on our lives have never been more topical – or more important.
'Green' education, ecology and natural history as well as reducing waste and recycling have become big issues. Here at Rosliston we have been working with visitors, families and schools since 1994 helping shape enviornmental education in South Derbyshire.
For schools we offer curriculum-linked activities, based on exploration and investigation in our woods and meadows - but always with a big emphasis on fun.
Offering education trips as well as links with schools, we work across the age range from 'early years' to secondary, offer out of school hours learning and can also provide teacher training here or at your own site.
For families and other visitors our 'eco education' has included organising a popular programme of events like pond-dipping, all designed to offer insights into the natural world around us.
We are a University of the First Age partnership project, working with Derbyshire County Council. We are part of South Derbyshire District Council, supported by The National Forest Company , Rolls-Royce plc, and the Forestry Commission.
