Group Visits

We take Health and Safety very seriously, and are committed to organising and monitoring our activities to minimise risk of harm to pupils, staff and the environment itself. For most activities, LEAs ask you to check with providers that the education activities have been risk assessed, which we can confirm. Groups arranging their own activities on site out of hours do need to make a pre-visit to do their own risk assessment – although you are welcome to use ours as a starting point.

Sometimes schools wish to see individual activity risk assessments. We can show you the file if you come to the Centre or email you the most up to date version, if required, before your visit – please ask if you want it.

Many of our 'controls' involve telling visiting staff about particular hazards (like nettles) and these general instructions are included on the hazard sheet which you can download here:
