Do you know your nursery rhymes?  Find slugs and snails, but not puppy dog’s tails!  Find out were slugs and snails may be found, what conditions they need to survive and what they eat.  Can you find things that make you think of sugar and spice and all things nice?  Explore the site and record finds and then return to the classroom (by 3.30pm for help with identification).  £2.50 per group.set of resources borrowed.

Meet at 5am at Rosliston Forestry Centre Foyer.  Join us for a leisurely walk with bird expert Dave Scattergood to discover the wonders of the dawn chorus.  Booking essential.  £10 per person includes hot snack and drink.  Suitable for children over 12 year and adults.

Gather in the classroom from 2pm to start promptly at 2.15pm.  Join us for guided walk and be a Rosliston nature detective!  We will be looking for clues to tell us what lives on the site and what it needs to survive and discovering many other interesting facts.  Session will finish between 3.30pm and 4pm.  £2.50 per child (must be accompanied by adult).

Start anytime between 2pm & 3.30pm.  Join us by the pond/lake (follow signs).  Find out what creatures live there!  We provide all the equipment, but please be prepared to share within family groups.  Session ends 4pm.  £2.50 per child.

Have fun and explore outdoors.  Learn about the types of plants in the meadow and begin to understand about meadow management and biodiversity.  Rake and collect hay for your furry friends.  Identify meadow plants with books and ID sheets. Explore the site to find some sign of Summer!  Return to the classroom by 3.30pm for help with identification.  £2.50 per group/set of resources borrowed.
