The Environmental Education Project based on site organise a range of family friendly activities as part of our Wildlife Watch programme. Download the family activities leaflet here or visit the events section.
Whether outdoor activities or indoor activities, we offer a very warm family welcome. Visit the bird hide or have fun on the outdoor adventure play equipment. In season, pick fruit from the Forest including sloes, elderberries and blackberries as well as the occasional hazel nut (if you can beat the squirrels to them!)
Our site is also famous for its access to "Conker Alley" and there are lots of conkers to be collected along the boundary footpath.
If you want to pick crab apples, other apples or sweet chestnuts please check with us first as we do use them for some education activities and need to see them on the trees until mid-end October!
