Don’t worry; we know you might have a few questions before you decide on your forest break. So, we’ve tried to list the most commonly asked questions here.

You will get a maximum of 3 cars outside each lodge. If there are more than 3 cars please contact the main office for advice.

All our lodges are located in a quiet secluded part of the site, but with a large private area around each lodge.

Yes you can, or you could hire one of ours.

Yes, all activities are pre bookable unless they are a pre arranged event. Contact the main office for prices and availability of activities.

Yes – early booking is advised as we have limited equipment. Please note that there are charges to hire the equipment – prices start from £10

Yes, and a washer dryer. We also provide all the dishwasher tablets and washing powder as we use eco friendly products.

The lodges are very well equipped with everything that you should need for a self catering break. All towels and bed linen are provided.

Yes we do, the beds will be made and ready for you. Each guest will have a bath and hand towel.

Earliest check in times are 3pm. If you arrive after 5pm, Reception will be closed and we will not be able to greet you face to face as we prefer. Contact out office on 01283 563483 to let us know that you will be arriving late to discuss arrangements. Latest check out time on the day of departure is 10am. We allow arrivals on Mondays – Fridays only.

We advise if possible, that you arrive before 5pm so that we can greet you personally and pass on your key and lodge information. However, if you are unable to arrive before 5pm, please contact our office on 01283 563483 to let us know.

Part of the beauty and attraction of our lodge accommodation is that they are located in a private, quiet rural woodland setting and this means that we are unable to provide WiFi at the lodges. Internet connection ca be found at Costa Coffee bar in Swadlincote and Burton upon Trent.

BBQ’s are provided at our lodges – bring your own tools and coals. Please use with caution and dispose of coals only when they are completely cooled.

All lodge guests are welcome to use the Games Room that is located at the Visitor Centre. The room includes Table Tennis (bats and balls available from reception 9am – 5pm), Pool Table (small charge applies) and Games Machines. The room is locked daily at midnight.
