Our education programme has a wide range of different environmental education activities.
Subjects covered include science, geography, history, music, literacy, technology, maths, citizenship and art & design. Our sessions are designed to appeal to all pupils, whatever their ability or preferred learning style.
We can offer a range of ‘woodland experience’ sessions including bushcraft and ‘Forest School’ taster days and programmes for all age groups.
We also offer a tailor-made package for schools - you tell us your requirements and we will do our best to deliver a package to suit you and your pupils. This may also include training for you and your colleagues. We would be happy to meet you, show you the facilities and discuss your requirements in person.
For groups in the holidays we can lead fun sessions with an environmental theme; for example pond dipping or organise a ‘Summer School’ for you.
Our current charge for schools is £75 per session/class (up to 2 hours for up to 30 children).
We do a reduced rate of £50 for our 1 hour Early Years Sessions.
Self-led groups: Occasionally schools and Holiday Clubs bring large numbers of children for the day without booking staff or anywhere for the children to shelter/have lunch or leave their bags. This creates problems for the group and the site in the event of wet, cold or hot weather AND in May / June / July / August when the site is usually fully booked.
Please read the School Visit Programme for guidelines for self-led visits, and contact us for advice before booking a coach.
