Parties & Group Activities
We welcome groups of all types and ages onto the site. You can do your own thing, book a room, or pre-book one of our fantastic activities for your birthday party or group visit.
For self-led groups of any size – please ensure you discuss activities, safety and proposed location on-site with us in advance. Click here for more information and a self-led group booking form.
For led activities, our maximum group size is around 100 in term-time and 150 in the holidays. Depending on the activities you are interested in and how many other groups are already booked in, those numbers may be slightly lower!
Please note – if you are bringing a group by coach or minibus there a number of restricted access routes due to low or narrow bridges at Alrewas, Walton On Trent, Willington and Cadley Hill (Swadlincote, near A444). Contact us for further information.

Parties & General Activities for groups:
Please note – most activities are available for all abilities – please let us know your needs and we will advise. You will find more information on our accessible facilities here.
- Soft Play parties for children (under 140cm/7yrs) – have fun in our Soft Play Centre and book exclusive use
- Woodland Parties for children with options like Fairy parties, Nature Detective parties etc.
- Falconry parties for all ages
- ‘TREC’ Environmental Puzzle Challenge – parties for teens or adults
- Sports or physical activity parties, e.g. Nordic Walking, Archery, Laser Games for adult groups
- Wellbeing activity sessions e.g. Forest Bathing for children over 8 & adults
- Walking and themed guided walks for pre-booked groups of all ages: including wildlife & bird photography walks and foraging walks
- Orienteering (no need to book)
Party facilities
As well as the activities, we can work with you to create the perfect menu for your day including catering or self-catering and room hire.
We’re also ready to discuss your ideas for something a little different to see what we can sort out for you!
Room Hire
Room hire is available for a minimum of 1 hour. Prices start from £12 on top of the price of your chosen activity. The hire period includes your setup and tidy-away time.
We require a £20 deposit at the time of booking for any of the above parties along with a completed booking form – please email us for a booking form to fill out. The party balance is due on arrival and can only be accepted by cash or card.
