Tai Chi is short for Tai Chi Chuan (or Taijijuan) and has been practised in China for centuries – initially as a martial art, it is now more commonly performed to improve health and well-being.
It is a series of gentle exercises performed in a continuous flowing movement that works to help maintain strength and flexibility, improve balance and co-ordination, encourages relaxation, and helps reduce stress and anxiety.
