TREC – The Rosliston ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE

The Rosliston Environmental (puzzle) Challenge (TREC) is a team challenge for approximately 15 people. There are alternative versions for groups of adults, young people or families.

There are problems and puzzles to solve, codes to crack and key locations and items to find in order to complete the challenge and save the planet!

Develop skills in:

  • Map reading
  • Navigation using technology
  • Speed
  • Communication
  • Teamwork
  • Logic

At the end you will be given a score which will reflect the team’s performance over the six challenges (with opportunity to achieve additional booster points by excelling in some of the activities!).

Aim

To investigate a series of environmental queries and provide solutions within a limited time frame while developing and strengthening skills within your team.

Setting

Rosliston Forestry Centre, like many places, faces environmental choices and challenges. It has many different habitats, some of which require careful management. It is the job of key people to make the correct decisions to safeguard the trees, plants and creatures which live together in those areas.

What advice will you give us when you have completed your task?
