Corporate Groups
We have been offering corporate activities at Rosliston since 2000 – and many of our wildlife habitats, educational and play resources on site are the result of input from corporate groups.
Our corporate days include a menu of choices from conservation & maintenance volunteering to bespoke teambuilding and physical activities.
You can focus a day or a series of days on achieving your own business and training objectives.
We have good transport links from: Derby, Burton upon Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Swadlincote, Leicester, Tamworth, Lichfield and Birmingham.
If you can’t come to us, some activities can be delivered at your own site.
Activities available include:

Falconry
Den building

Bushcraft
Guided walks

CORPORATE Environmental VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering days give your employees the chance to carry out practical and guided conservation and maintenance work – improving green spaces for our education sessions and for the local community to enjoy.
You can learn skills which can be used on your own sites too.
Volunteering as a team can improve team confidence and dynamics, increase skill development and bonding and provide an opportunity for your teams to connect outside the traditional work setting or to come together if working from home is now the norm.
You will leave behind a tangible difference to our site which you can show your friends and families in photos or in person.
Find out more about corporate volunteering on our YouTube.

Teambuilding
Plan-It Earth Environmental Teambuilding/Training
(1-2hrs)
Traditional team building activities using appreciative enquiry. Most of these activities consider environmental impact and positive action at the same time as the team building.
These can be combined into a half-day session or integrated into the rest of the day, for example when a team is doing conservation volunteering. More info
GPS Creature Quest
(1.5-2hrs)
Orienteering challenge using GPS navigation devices. Use the site guide map to work out the best routes to the points logged into the devices. Solve a riddle to find the nine creatures hiding around the Science Trail and unlock the clue to finding the tenth mystery creature.
Campfire
(1-3hrs)
Can include using fire strikes to light a fire, learning how to maintain the fire and toasting treats like marshmallows.
Can be part of a longer lunch break or as a wind-down treat at the end of the day; or combine with den building, bushcraft or a foraging walk to make a seasonal tea to drink with your food (participants need to bring their own food for toasting).
Walking and Themed Guided Walks
(1-2hrs)
For pre-booked groups of all ages, including wildlife walks & bird photography walks.
TREC (The Rosliston Environmental Challenge)
(1hr or 2-3hrs)
A series of puzzles and teambuilding games all linked together as part of a time-trial; beat the clock and save the planet!
Includes GPS work, games, physical and problem-solving activities. Can be adapted for different group sizes, timeframes and physical abilities. More info
Bushcraft
(1-3hrs)
Bushcraft involves making or learning something using natural materials, e.g. whittling a tent peg or bookmark, making nettle string, willow weaving or easy basket making.
Den Building
(1hr)
Learn how to build basic shelters and consider the key success factors – waterproof, wind proof etc. (and whether that is achievable in practice).
Foraging Walks
(1-2hrs)
Explore the site learning about the plants currently in season – this may include use for remedies, food, crafts and building materials.
